Job Details

We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our Labor & Employment practice. This is an opportunity for a motivated attorney to step into a busy litigation-focused role with significant client responsibility and direct involvement in sophisticated employment disputes. The ideal candidate enjoys managing complex matters, building strong client relationships, and working in a fast-paced environment where initiative and sound judgment are valued.

This role offers substantial hands-on experience handling employment-related disputes through all stages of the litigation process, from initial evaluation through resolution, arbitration, administrative proceedings, and trial.

Responsibilities

  • Represent employers and employees in labor and employment disputes through all stages of litigation
  • Manage a substantial caseload from intake through final resolution
  • Handle administrative proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and court appearances
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, settlement agreements, and related legal documents
  • Conduct witness interviews, case evaluations, and factual investigations
  • Perform advanced legal research and prepare strategic case analyses
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings
  • Counsel clients regarding legal rights, obligations, risks, and litigation strategy
  • Manage document review, electronic discovery, and complex discovery matters
  • Work closely with legal support staff and other attorneys to advance client objectives
  • Monitor developments in employment and labor law and incorporate changes into client representation
  • Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Significant litigation experience with substantial exposure to employment-related disputes
  • Strong background handling contested matters through discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial preparation
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex matters and competing deadlines
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities
  • Experience working directly with clients and managing client relationships
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment in high-pressure situations
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to balance independent work with collaborative teamwork

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Approximately 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Multiple years of dedicated labor and employment litigation experience
  • Strong proficiency with legal research platforms and litigation technology
  • Experience managing complex discovery matters, including electronically stored information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines and productivity expectations
  • Commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service

  • Employment class action litigation
  • Wage and hour matters
  • Whistleblower and retaliation claims
  • Trial experience
  • Experience supervising junior attorneys, law clerks, or support staff
  • Additional bar admissions
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • Business development experience or existing professional network
